We wake up every morning, and for most us the first thing we do is to check our phones for messages, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and what have you.

We have become so addicted to these things that we sometimes even forget to thank God for blessing us with another day. Yet we still call ourselves Christians, when we don't even yearn for the Word of God as we do other non-important things in our lives.

2 Timothy​ 2:15 commands us to study to show ourselves approved unto God. Are we really studying the word of God as the Bible is saying? Do we find other things to be more important than sitting and studying the Bible?

Christ is coming back one day. What do we have to show for? Is it our certificates, the cars, houses? All these things will pass away as the Bible states, but the Word of God will never pass away.

So why don't we do ourselves a favor and focus more on what's everlasting; the Word of God! The more we study the Word, the more we know God and the more intimate we become with Him. DECLARATION Dear Lord, help me to study your word always, that I may know You well. Amen!
