Believing God for the Impossible in 2018

A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don't you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

Mark 4:37-41

We're only a matter of hours away from seeing a brand new year. What did you deem impossible in 2017? Reflect over your year and pick out the things you thought were highly impossible for you to accomplish. Now take those things and in 2018 believe God to help you get them done.

God loves to answer impossible requests because He, the creator of all that is, lives in the realm of what seems impossible. He is the one who did the impossible in the lives of many people, and is willing to do same in your life, only if you believe. I don't think a boy as young as David, would have been able to conquer a giant if he did not believe God to do the impossible. I don't think Abraham would have been the father of many nations had he not believed God to do the impossible and obeyed when he was instructed to leave his home. I don't think the wall of Jericho would have fallen had the Israelites not believed God to do the impossible, thereby obeying His instruction to march around the Jericho city for 7 days. And the list goes on...

In 2018, we need to turn nations towards God, to penetrate countries and groups with the Gospel, and to see strongholds in our cities pulled down by the power of the Name of Jesus, the Name that is above every name! In 2018, we want to see God do the impossible, but first we have to believe in Him, for He is a God who majors in performing what men consider impossible.
