STIR UP THE FAITH...

In the whole Bible, the word ‘champion’ was used once. Surprisingly, that word was not used for Jesus or the disciples. The only man the Bible describes as a champion is Goliath. He was six-foot-tall, a giant, and someone who had won numerous wars.

Ironically, this champion was defeated by a non-militant shepherd boy named David. I was wondering how someone like David with no combat experience at that time was able to defeat Goliath. I came to realize that the boy David was able to defeat Goliath because of the faith he had in God.

Jesus once said that ‘’…if ye have faith like the grain of a mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you’’ (Matthew 7:20).

This quote from the Bible implies that if we exercise the little faith that we have, we would be able to defeat any Goliath, Giant, mountains of failure and difficulties in our lives. You don’t need to be at the gym 24/7 lifting weights to be strong enough to defeat the giants in your life, but use that little faith of yours.

You don’t deserve to go through life being sour and miserable. God has already given us all the tools we need to be successful, and the only thing you need to do is to gird up your loins and exercise that faith.

Declaration

Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your Word today. I pray that You will increase my faith and grant me the grace to become whatever You want me to be in Jesus’ name.

Amen!
