Peace and Unity

Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:3 (NKJV)

Humans are emotional beings so we make decisions based on how we feel and what we've experienced. It is impossible to always agree with one another because of how our decisions are affected by our emotions.

We must make a conscious effort to not allow disagreements to bring discord among us, especially with our brothers and sisters in Christ. My father always says, "those closest to you are the ones who will offend you the most". Will you walk away from them forever or will you make an effort to work things out?

The latter is the preferred option. One can step on your foot without even knowing it and it is up to us as believers to always keep the peace. Sometimes our pride gets in the way. I'm guilty of it but we must learn to put pride aside in order to be one with our fellow believers.

After all, the greatest commandment of all is to love self and those around us all equally. The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit are always at peace and united as one. An example we must all try to emulate at all times as Christ followers.

Declaration:

May God help us all to allow peace and unity reign in our midst no matter the circumstances.
