Be Separated

Therefore, "Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." 2 Corinthians 6:17 It is one thing to accept Jesus Christ into your life and another to prove to the world. Many of us believers try so hard to live the kind of life a true believer and a truly repented sinner should, but it never works out. Sometimes we feel like we are on the right track but then we see ourselves doing them over again or even worse than before. Is it that our efforts are not worth it or is there's more to it? When the message of "repentance and salvation" was preached to the Corinthians, they accepted it as we have but then they were struggling with it as some of us are. Through the revelations of the Holy Spirit to the Apostle Paul, he was able to know the cause of the problem of backsliding and setbacks. Simply come out of your old self, your friends, your belongings and be separated from among them. Your old friends know you and your weaknesses and you cannot convince them so easily. Yeah it's true that you have seen the light and they need to be saved as well, but be separated from among them; grow yourself and be on a solid foundation and then they will see the light glowing within you. You can't steal from people to gain your wealth and after repenting still use those same materials and money you acquired before you repented. When Zacchaeus repented, he gave all his money back to the people because he knew he robbed them to gain his wealth. You can't be repented and still be using unclean things. Just be separated from among them if you really want to grow to the next level in the Lord. Shalom!
