If You Doubt, Zip It

The officer assisting the king said to the man of God, “That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!” But Elisha replied, “You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you won’t be able to eat any of it!” 2 Kings 7:2 NLT

Many at times, we allow the measures of our faith to outweigh the wonders and miracles of our Maker. Judging from how God saved the Israelites from the hand of their oppressors (Pharaoh's), there is still no need for us to doubt the powers of God.

The Holy Scriptures make it clear to us that the word of God comes to fulfill a purpose and so it is not just any ordinary spoken words like those that come out of our mouths. It is live and sharper than a two-edged sword that can pierce through the soul of a man.

Now, God instructs His servant to tell His starving people that there will be a abundance where everything will be cheaper than when they are on sales. Instead of rejoicing over the good news, there's doubt. How sad it is for most of us believers. We always look at what we see now to make conclusions. And the utterances we make affects those around us especially, those of us young believers who are now growing in the Lord.

Please if you don't believe, just zip your mouth and let the word of God manifest Itself.

Prayer Lord, help me to trust Your word and where I try to let my problems outweigh me, let just zip my mouth and see Your glory shine in Jesus name. Amen.
