EVEN IF

But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or the golden image that you have set up.

Daniel 3:18

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt that God had abandoned you? If yes, then you’re not alone. It’s easy to say ‘’God is Good’’ when there’s nothing to bring you down. What will you say when you’re being held to the flame or when everything seems to work against you.

God is able, and He can save us from the fire with His mighty hand, but what if He does not? Where will be our hope?

We need to have the same attitude that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had. It only takes a little faith to move mountains but when God chooses to leave the mountains unmovable, what should we do? We should still keep our hopes in Him because He knows the best for our lives.

All the difficulties, the sorrow, and the hurt could all go away if God just says the word. But even if He does not, our hope should still be in Him only.

God has always been faithful, and we need to cling to Him come what may. Regardless of the situation, we need to pray for the strength to endure and say to ourselves ‘IT IS WELL WITH OUR SOULS.’

Prayer

Lord Jesus, help me to cling onto You come what may. Amen!
