The Fight of Faith

We have to fight to keep our faith. Try as hard as you can to win that fight. Take hold of eternal life. It is the life you were chosen to have when you confessed your faith in Jesus—that wonderful truth that you spoke so openly and that so many people heard. 1 Timothy 6:12 ERV Some believers tend to have the mindset that once they have been saved by Christ, they have been saved forever. This is not entirely true however. Christianity is a daily journey with Christ, not a one-time trip. Each and everyday, the enemy tries his hardest to sway us off the course of doing good. He presents us with distractions and temptations in hope of taking our minds of the important things: to revere and walk with God, as well as to love our neighbors. Due to this, we don't have to grow weary in our walk with The Lord. Instead, being armed with the armor of God, we ought to battle to keep our faith. The above scripture encourages us to try as hard as we can to win that fight. We cannot afford to get weak, not even for a micro second in this fight, for we are wrestling not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities. We must therefore constantly stick to God's side in order to draw strength to win this fight. Each day, The Lord presents us with life and death. He gives us the free choice to choose whichever we want, but as the scripture says, take hold of eternal life each day, for it is the life you were chosen to have when you confessed your faith in Jesus! Prayer Father Lord, strengthen me to fight this faith fight each and every single day. Help me to always choose life over death in Your Sweer Name I have prayed, Amen!
