Unity in Yourself [Day 2]
"Do two walks together, unless they have agreed to meet? Amos 3:3 ESV
At many times, we hear many believers quoting this particular scripture from Matthew 26:41 which says, “The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Especially, when they don't want to wake up in the middle of the night to pray or attend fellowships when they feel lazy or tired. The question is, “How can the weaker object overpower the stronger?”
There are many of us who are at peace on the outside but inwardly, there's always a great battle going on. The struggle to come out from an unwanted behavior, an addiction and the will power to say “NO” to sin. There's the need for the body, soul and the spirit to be working together. Human beings become whole when the body, spirit and the soul are in agreement because they all move together that is why Amos asked that, “can two walk together? The two can only work together unless they have agreed to do so or are united. Without unity among the three, (body, soul and spirit), there is no perfect self, resulting in chaos in the mind. When one is divided he can’t receive anything from God so, these three have no option but to agree.
