Unity in the Nation [Day 5]
And the Lord said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Genesis 11:6 ESV What could possibly cause families, tribes and citizens of a nation to fight among themselves? Is it what God really wants His precious children to be doing? Of course not. 1Corinthians 14:33 makes it clear that God is not the author of confusion but a God of peace. It is not of God to see His children fight among themselves. Reading from Genesis 11:1-9, God only came in to cause confusion among the people because of their motives and also to fulfill His promise to Abraham as He said He'll make him a father of many nations. God desires to see us live in oneness as the people did in the land of Babel. He wants us to share with, agree with, forgive, care, be there for one another. It is out of greed, envy, jealousy and misunderstanding among ourselves that's making us fight and kill ourselves. One thing we ought to understand is that, God is no respecter of persons, (Romans 2:11). We are all equal before the Lord, we need to understand that. There's no black nor white before the Lord. We are the same and bear His image of love, peace, merciful, kind and unity.
