Self Control [Day 1]

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 Self control is the ability to control ones emotions and desires especially in difficult or stressful situations. Many people lack self control. When the going gets tough it is difficult for one to remain cool and collected. Having self control doesn't necessarily mean you don't have emotions or that you're a robot. It just means in high level situations one must learn how to remain calm in order to yield the best possible outcome. In our day to day lives as well we must learn to exercise self control or self discipline in order to get through our mundane tasks. As humans we tend to go through the motions of routine living and the concept of self control gets lost in the mix. We tend to do things when we want and any how we want but there should be a level of discipline attached to these things. Thank you Lord for giving me the spirit of self control. Help me to exercise it daily in this walk with you. In Jesus' Name! Amen!
