Believing God for a Breakthrough in 2018

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:12

How many times have you heard someone use the term breakthrough? Probably countless of times, but have you ever sat down to ponder over what it actually means? The concept originates from the military. It refers to the process whereby an army is able to employ its abilities to weaken its enemy's forces to the point of collapse, allowing that army to invade and rule over its enemy completely.

During a battle, for instance, it's not always straightforward for an army to achieve a breakthrough, for a breakthrough has to be strategically undertaken. Any breakthrough is often met by fierce opposition from the enemy, however in the long run, it is not the fierceness of the opposition that prevails. Otherwise there would be no breakthrough.

The year 2017 was the year God strategically placed you for your breakthrough. You may have experienced some fierce opposition from your enemies camp, and thought all hope is lost. I am encouraging you to believe in God in 2018 for your breakthrough. Remember that there is no breakthrough if you give in to the opposition response. You ought to be determined to push through till the very end to achieve your breakthrough, and the only way you can do this in 2018, is by believing God.
